Automation/unmanned operation support

Drawing on 30+ years of experience and expertise in machine tool automation to enable unmanned and labor-saving manufacturing in production facilities and increase productivity

EGURO has a proven track record and expertise as a pioneer in the design and development of robot-driven automation (with CNC lathes featuring machinery-robot integration) spanning over three decades.
We do not simply outfit machine tools with robots; rather, we specialize in the design and development
of automation systems featuring machinery-robot integration
tailored to customers’ specific conditions and requirements.
Considerations include details about workpieces, production volume, and manufacturing systems.

We have in-house robot instructors who train employees and a large number of service technicians who are skilled in handling robots.
Our staff draw on their expertise with both robotics and machine tools to provide comprehensive support
from design and manufacturing to after-sales service.
In offering proposals for automation solutions, our focus extends beyond introduction of the machinery,
taking operational support into consideration as well.

EGURO provides solutions to automation and labor-saving challenges

  • Difficulty in recruiting personnel and securing machine tool operators.
  • Work-style reforms prevent employees from working long overtime, night shifts, or on weekends/holidays.
  • Lack of personnel with expertise in robot operation and handling is delaying implementation of machine tool automation.
  • Dissatisfaction with after-sales follow-up support due to the separate support channels for automation manufacturers and machine tool manufacturers.
  • Demands to automate previously purchased EGURO products.

Reasons for choosing EGURO’s machine tool automation technologies

Comprehensive support from planning/design to operation/maintenance

Automating machine tools require a thorough understanding of the customer’s production environment and challenges, including the processing methods of the parts being manufactured and the production processes involved.
Often separate manufacturers for the machinery and automation systems handle machine tool automation, meaning a lack of comprehensive support from design through after-sales service, which can lead to difficulties in troubleshooting and maintaining stable production.
EGURO offers comprehensive support on our own for all aspects of automation systems integrating machine tools and robots – from planning, design, and development to construction, implementation, maintenance, and operation. Be confident entrusting EGURO with everything; we will ensure stable production for your operation even after introduction of the machinery.

30+ years experience as an industry pioneer with a delivery record of 500+ units of robot-automated processing machinery

EGURO released its first CNC lathe featuring machinery-robot integration in 1988. Since then, we have accumulated over three decades of experience and expertise working on the automation of CNC lathes as an industry pioneer.
Our extensive experience enables us to provide automated products optimally tailored to all aspects of customers’ operations, including processing workpieces, lot sizes, factory environments, and production systems.

Reliable after-sales service

Our extensive team of service technicians with expertise in robotics, including robot instructors, enables us to maintain a consistent, comprehensive after-sales service system.
We are also committed to training employees in robot handling to ensure our ability to provide support to customers from manufacturing through after-sales service.

Automation system implementation process

STEP01

Contact

For inquiries regarding the automation of machine tools, please contact your dedicated sales representative or reach out to us directly.

STEP02

Identifying customer’s demands

EGURO initially consults with customers to learn more about their current challenges and requirements. From there, we work to identify issues in need of solutions and determine the optimal improvement process.

Sample topics for review

  • – Which EGURO equipment to serve as the base
  • – Confirmation of installation space and location
  • – Details of processing and workflow
  • – Budget and delivery schedule
  • – Quantity of workpieces and processing time

STEP03

Feedback on processing layout

Our processing technology group will create tool layout data.

STEP04

Creation of automation proposals

3D models are used to create overall layouts, hand drafts, and supply/retrieval plans. ROBOGUIDE simulation software by FANUC is then used to verify operational motion, assess feasibility and make necessary revisions, with changes reflected in the abovementioned 3D models. These processes serve to further refine the original designs.

STEP05

Proposal

Sales representatives present proposals of solutions to challenges customers are facing. Video simulations are shown to facilitate visualization of the explanations provided as well.

STEP06

Contract-signing, manufacturing, and delivery

Once the configuration of the robot-integrated equipment is finalized and the contract is signed, manufacturing will commence to prepare the setup for delivery to the customer.
